Here I come again

It's been a while since I posted my last message. Lots of things have happened since then and quite honestly it will take days to just explain a bit...
It's Saturday and outside is raining, so this weather is excellent for introspection, thinking about moving ahead personally and professionally. I hope my bright star will keep on guiding me!

Musée Magritte Museum

The New Magritte Museum was inaugurated last June 2, 2009 in Brussels. It is located on the Place Royale, at a walking distance from the Grand’ Place.
Inspired by both the bizarre and the absurd, Magritte evokes a wide spectrum of themes to entice the observer. Surrounded by Brussels as your backdrop, the Magritte museum offers an out of body experience and a course in art appreciation at the same time.
A must if you are visiting Brussels!

Tribute to granny

Already 5 months since my last post. Life goes by and it is good to stop at a certain moment to reflect, have a breath and go on. My granmother passed away last week and this is the most significant event, yet sad, in these months. She finally got relieved from her suffering, that is true but at the same time I had the impression that my already weak memories and family ties with Colombia vanished, I was so sad, the last one of my grandparents left us. However, and I think this was the miracle, I felt the urge to connect again with my cousin and let her know that I will never forget them, because forgettig them will mean to forget my granny and my roots and I do not want to let this happen. This is also a tribute to those who left us before but will remain forever with us as long as we make sure they stay in our memories.

"Leçon de chinois rouge et tabac"

"Leçon de chinois rouge et tabac" 2008 (1,70m x 1,20m) pigment sur toile. Isabel BERTELOT
I saw the works of this artist in the "Affordable art fair" of last February.
If you want to know more about her:

Snails on the tinn-plate

This is one of the latest catalan gastronomic discoveries! Absolutely delicious (a total positive surprise for me I must say...who would have guessed...)

Please click here for the recipy in Spanish:

Cargols a la llauna de Lleida

The snails are just 'sitting' on the salt layer covering the tinn-plate. The fire - where the tinn-plate is set upon-, olive oil and pepper makes the rest... you take the snails one by one, chunk them into one of several spicy sauces (ali-oli, romanescu, etc ...) and enjoy.

Bon profit!

I'm back on track

Hi again!

Just a short message to update this blog. I cannot believe how fast these last months have passed by. It is true that my job has taken all my time and I had no energy to devote to my hobbies. I've been several times in Tarragona and the appartment looks great, we are very proud :-)
I enclose several links to exhibitions that I visited, films that I watched and books that I have read:
